Sauna Treatment
A sauna treatment is a gentle yet deeply relaxing pause in the warmth of the sauna, combining steam, heat and natural ingredients. The treatment begins with a calming sauna welcome ritual, after which your sauna practitioner carries out the treatment of your choice.
You can choose from the following treatments:
Honey treatment – softening and nourishing for the skin
Birch whisk treatment – deeply warming and stimulating for circulation
Salt treatment – cleansing and gently exfoliating
Peat treatment – grounding and deeply relaxing
You can select your preferred treatment during the booking process.
For One or to Share
The sauna treatment can be booked for 1–4 people, and the experience is adapted according to the size of your group.
When booked for one person, the treatment becomes a thorough and deeply personal experience, allowing the sauna practitioner to focus entirely on your body, comfort and wellbeing.
For several people, the experience begins with a shared sauna welcome ritual and gentle warming with birch whisks. After this, each guest receives their own unhurried individual treatment with the sauna practitioner.
Swimwear or Nude?
You are welcome to take part nude, partly in swimwear or fully in swimwear. We recommend avoiding very covering swimwear, however, as the heat of the sauna, birch whisks, honey, salt and other natural materials work best when they can be applied directly to the skin.
Your personal comfort and privacy are always respected throughout the treatment. Towels or birch whisks can be used to cover the body whenever needed, according to the situation and your preferences.
Rauni Treatment Sauna
Sauna treatments take place in Rauni, our dedicated treatment sauna located within the sauna grounds. In front of the sauna there is a small outdoor area where you can cool down and relax between stages of the treatment.
Guests receiving treatments also have access to the firepit area, changing facilities, shower and traditional outdoor toilet.
The treatment price does not include access to the smoke sauna or hot tubs. If you would like to combine your treatment with a smoke sauna experience or one of our public sauna sessions, admission can be purchased separately.
Our Sauna Practitioners
Sauna treatments are provided by Sipoonjoen Perinnesauna practitioners Laura Foon, Joonas Vaarala and Saara Mäntykoski. Our practitioners have extensive experience in traditional sauna practices, bodywork and creating attentive, individual experiences for each guest.
If you prefer a female sauna practitioner, we recommend booking your treatment in connection with our Tuesday women’s sauna session.
